PS3 (for RPCS3)
RPCS3’s quickstart lists two ways: “an original PlayStation 3 console with custom firmware or a PC with a compatible Blu-ray disc drive”. On a console, homebrew file managers such as ManagunZ, IRISMAN or MultiMAN copy the game “via a custom or hybrid firmware”. On PC, RPCS3’s Disc Dumper is “an automated and user-friendly way of getting a decrypted copy of your PlayStation 3 discs”. RPCS3 also needs the PS3 system software (PS3UPDAT.PUP), which you install through File > Install Firmware.
Xbox 360 (for Xenia and skate3recomp)
Xenia’s quickstart is blunt: “YOU CANNOT PLAY GAMES DIRECTLY FROM THE DISC DRIVE, OR USE AN XBOX ONE/SERIES TO RIP GAMES!” The usual method works on a stock, unmodded Xbox 360: install the disc to the console’s hard drive, then copy it off to USB. Redump-compatible PC drives are the other option. skate3recomp asks you to “select your legally obtained copy of Skate 3” as an ISO, and DLC has to come from “your own legally obtained Xbox 360 DLC” (README).
Don’t ask for downloads
The emulator communities don’t allow it. RPCS3: “We do not condone piracy of any kind. Asking for, providing or discussing illegal download links is not allowed in our communities.” skatemods follows the same rule: the upload policy refuses retail districts and DLC.
