Upload policy

Only maps you have the right to share. Every upload is checked automatically and reviewed by a person before anyone else can see it.

You can upload

You can't upload

What happens after you upload

  1. Private by default. Only you and the moderators can see your map.
  2. Automatic checks. The converter unpacks your upload in an isolated GitHub Actions runner. It rejects executables and retail districts. Once the retail hash list is built, it will also compare every stream file against it, using hashes only: no game files are stored or compared directly. The check results go to the moderator.
  3. Conversion. PS3 maps become recomp .big and .skate; Xbox 360 maps become .skate. You can download your outputs straight away.
  4. Review. A moderator reads your rights declaration and the check results, then approves or rejects with a reason.
  5. Public. Approved maps appear on the maps page with your credit and license.

Licenses

You choose how others may use your map: CC BY 4.0, CC BY-NC 4.0, CC BY-ND 4.0, CC0, or "free to share unmodified with credit". The license covers your own work only. Skate 3 itself, its formats and its trademarks belong to EA.

Takedowns

Every map has a Report button, and you don't need an account to use it. Rights holders: choose "This is my work" or "Copyright", say what you own and where the original is, and leave a contact. We act on credible claims quickly and remove first. You can also open an issue on GitHub.

Uploaders can delete their own maps at any time from My maps. Repeated violations get an account banned.
