Skate 4 and skate.
EA revealed a new skate game at EA Play Live 2020, and fans called it Skate 4 from day one. In July 2022 EA named it skate., lower case with a full stop like the 2007 original (Wikipedia). It entered early access on September 16, 2025, free-to-play on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. So “Skate 4 mods”, “skate. mods” and “skate 2025 mods” all mean the same thing. Modding it
The live game is online-only and protected by EA’s Javelin anti-cheat, so mods can’t touch it. ReSkate, released October 2, 2026, works around that. Its launcher runs one fixed Steam build of skate. offline with a community runtime, which adds:
- custom maps, among them the full Skate 3 city and skate 2’s New San Vanelona;
- cosmetics, soundtracks and scripts from over 200 mods;
- a park editor and a built-in trainer;
- its own Steam lobbies and dedicated servers.
