An updated version of the Skate 2 map mod for ReSkate.

  • Maps exported straight out of Skate 2. The geometry, layout and props are the originals taken directly from Skate 2, not a hand-rebuilt approximation

  • DLCs included

  • All decals. Every decal from the original maps is included and placed as it was: road markings, parking lines, stains, graffiti and more

  • Real surface sounds. Audio now matches the material you are riding. The same material-based audio as in Skate (4) itself

Installation

Requires skate. with ReSkate installed.

Install the package through the ReSkate launcher and enable it under Mods. For manual installation, extract the ZIP into its own folder under <Skate folder>/Mods/, then enable the mod in ReSkate.

Select Skate2Improved in the map menu.

Turning car traffic on or off

  1. In game, press Insert to open the ReSkate menu (the default menu key).
  2. Open World and find Traffic under Travel & Population.
  3. Choose Off, Light, Normal or Busy. Default uses the map's own setting. Recommending Busy.

Install Skate 2 Improved

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Skate 2 Improved and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
