FAQ /

THUG Pro or PARTYMOD, which should I use?

They do different jobs. THUG Pro is a total conversion of THUG2 that collects levels from the whole series into one online game. PARTYMOD patches each original PC port with modern controllers, fixes and widescreen. Plenty of people use both.

THUG Pro

“The ultimate community mod for Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, with multiplayer gameplay, user-created content, and levels from your favorite THPS games” (thugpro.com). It runs on THUG2’s engine, so every level plays with THUG2’s moveset. It’s the place for online sessions with a big community and for custom levels. History →

PARTYMOD

“A series of patches, mostly for the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater series, that fixes bugs as well as introduces modernizations such as modern controller support” (partymod.newnet.city). There’s one patch per game: THPS2, THPS3, THPS4, THUG, THUG2, American Wasteland and Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX. Each keeps that game as it was, and several reconnect it to OpenSpy for online play.
