RawmWare Needles Flannel Pack

Six patchwork flannels for skate., inspired by the Needles "7 Cuts" rebuild flannel, the Japanese cut-and-sew shirt where every panel is cut from a different flannel and sewn back together into one shirt.

The flannels

Needles Flannel 1: multi-plaid patchwork with a solid white collar.
Needles Flannel 2: a second patchwork colorway with hard panel edges and a white collar.
Needles Flannel 3: the 7-cut experiment, a different plaid on almost every panel.
Needles Flannel 4: all-new plaids (blue/rust, plum, olive, cream), white collar, white buttons.
Needles Flannel 5: greys and blacks only, plaid collar, white buttons.
Needles Flannel 6: purple/black flannel down the centre, a different grey-black-red flannel on each sleeve, red/black pocket.

How it was built

Real panels. The game's loose button-up was exported to Blender to map every panel: fronts, sleeves, cuffs, yokes, back, placket, collar and pocket. Each panel then gets its own flannel by where it sits on the body, the way a rebuild shirt is cut.
Flannels drawn in code. Every plaid is an original pattern built from a woven twill with real warp and weft stripes, plus a little brushed-cotton noise. The plaids were tried out in sets: warm reds and navies, a Needles-style tartan mix, new colorways, greyscale, and purple and black. A hard checkerboard was tried for the purple centre and dropped because it didn't read as flannel.
Vertical vs. horizontal cuts. Needles-style narrow vertical strips down the front were tried first. On this mesh they came out jagged, so the pack cuts along the shirt's real panel seams for clean edges.
Collars. A solid white collar on some shirts makes the patchwork pop. Others test plaid collars.
Buttons. The buttons are painted into the shirt's texture, so at first they picked up whatever plaid sat under them. Later builds paint them white on purpose.
No logos. This pack is all about the cut and the fabric.

Install Needles Flannel Pack

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
Search for Needles Flannel Pack and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
