Fork Peak

A downhill race map down a pine-forest granite mountain, built for racing in a pack. Drop in at the top, bomb the shared road, pick a side at the fork and meet everyone again for the finish.

This is an early version. The layout and the jumps are ridable end to end, but the looks are still basic and more is on the way: better textures and scenery, street spots along the road, and more lines. Updates will come through the mod manager.

The run

• The road: a fast shared road with a kerb gap, a cliff gap and a pair of powerslide switchbacks.
• The fork: the road splits around a big granite boulder (you can ride the little tunnel through it).
  • Left (technical): a step-up, a pine gap with a rail, tight hairpins you'll want to powerslide, and Thread The Needle, a gap through a small tunnel bored through a rock ridge. Hold your speed or you'll hit the wall.
  • Right (fast): long sweepers along the cliff edge, a stone bridge over a gully and the biggest gaps on the map.
• The finish: both roads rejoin for the last gap and the finish quarter pipe.

The jumps are sized from logged test runs at normal riding speed, without boost.

There's also something hidden near the top of the mountain. No sign, no marker. Have a look around.

Install

• Mod manager: install through ReSkate's Get Mods tab, enable it, restart ReSkate and pick Fork Peak from the map list.
• Manual: extract the zip into its own folder under <ReSkate>/Mods/ (for example Mods/fork_peak/). manifest.json, layout.toc, reskate-levels.json and the Win32 folder must sit directly inside that folder. Don't copy anything over the base game files.
