Races on Spades Spot servers, on your HUD. Join a Spades Spot server with ReSkate 2.1.2 or newer and type /race.

What you see

  • The vote on the track on the right: press 1-5 (or /race <number>). Whoever votes, races.
  • The countdown: 3, 2, 1 landing big, then GO!
  • Your clock, the next gate with a compass, every checkpoint and lap.
  • Your gap to the first racer at every checkpoint (+2.00), and live standings on the left: the first five and you, sliding up when you overtake.
  • Results with medals and the track record, then rate the track 1-5 (Trash .. Great).

Building tracks

Built a race park? /race edit <track> opens the editor (your own tracks, or any for moderators). While it is open:

Without this mod

You still race on Spades Spot: you get cards and chat lines instead of the HUD.

For server owners

This package is both sides: on a dedicated server it is the server copy that runs the races (sign-up, start spots, countdown, checkpoints, places, records, logged as [race] ... lines). It is made for Spades Spot: the tracks in tracks/ come from the Spades Spot toolkit's race parks. Settings: config.json.

Install SpadesRace

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for SpadesRace and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
