Cappie Mita (MiSide)

A fully rigged Cappie Mita character replacement for Burt Blaze in ReSkate, featuring her blue cat-ear cap, red cropped sweater, pleated skirt, stockings and matching shoes.

Retains ReSkate's native skating animations and Burt Blaze's original fire VFX and sound effects. Recommended appearance setting: Body Build 6.

Installation

Install through the ReSkate launcher's MODS page from Thunderstore, or drag this package ZIP onto the launcher. Enable CappieMita and disable previous Mita versions or conflicting replacements of the same costume.

For manual installation, close the game and extract the ZIP contents into a new Mods/CappieMita folder beside Skate.exe. layout.toc, initfs_win32, .reskate-studio-patch, manifest.json and Win32 must be directly inside that folder; preserve hidden files. Enable the mod through ReSkate.

Equip the Mita costume under Apparel > Costumes, then select Body Build 6. The existing in-game item name remains Mita.

Compatibility

  • Minor skirt clipping may still occur in some poses.
  • Body Build 6 is the primary tested appearance; other builds may have fit differences.
  • Uses native animation-driven motion; no added hair or skirt physics.
  • Fire effects and sounds were confirmed in gameplay. Burt's 4x multiplier trigger has not been specifically verified.
  • Requires ReSkate and its supported skate. game build. Future game or loader updates may require compatibility review.

The model was adapted and modified for use in ReSkate, including costume integration, rigging and skinning adjustments, hand alignment, material detail, skirt clearance and footwear fitting. This adaptation is not endorsed by the original creator.

MiSide character assets remain subject to their respective owners' rights. This fan mod is not an official MiSide release.

Install CappieMita

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for CappieMita and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
