ReSkate 2.1.1
Mod conflicts, redone
- Fewer false conflicts: only mods that really can't work together count, like two mods that change the same menus or scripts. Mods that just share pictures, thumbnails or item colours load together again (like the MarcusB2k wheel and truck packs).
- Missed conflicts caught: some board mods' script conflicts used to slip through and silently break a mod. They're caught now.
- Resolve conflicts: when mods clash, the Mod Manager shows a Resolve conflicts button. Pick which mod loads with Load this one. Your choice is remembered, so you're only asked again if the order changes or a new conflict shows up.
- No more nagging: conflicts no longer stop you at Play or show a warning when the game starts. The higher mod loads, just like the list shows.
- Always up to date: conflicts are checked as soon as the launcher opens and after every change.
Mod Manager
- New mod list: a compact table, so many more mods fit on screen.
- Drag to reorder: grab a mod by its handle and the list slides out of the way. You can also click a mod's number to type a new position.
- Official mods in MY MODS: they now show like any other mod, where you can reorder them or switch them on and off. Already installed ones move over by themselves.
Multiplayer
- Solid objects: other players' objects are now solid by default. You can still switch a player's objects to ghost from the player list.
Launcher
- Announcements: news from the ReSkate team now shows on the home screen. You can hide each one.
Fixes
- Updating mods: fixed "Could not replace ... close anything using its files" when updating mods.
- Installing mods: a new mod no longer opens its details when you go back to MY MODS.
GPU crashes
- Extra crash info: if your graphics card stops responding, the next few launches record what it was doing, so the next crash report tells us where. Thanks for keeping crash reporting on.
Commits
- Mods: two mods that conflict load only the higher one, found before the merge
- Official mods: an installed one can be uninstalled on the OFFICIAL tab
- Official mods: installed by the player on the OFFICIAL tab instead of downloaded on every launch
- Drone: the motor hum is quieter by default (volume 0.09 from 0.5)
- Customization: a mod item's card sits under the info sign
- Official mods: each can be turned off in the launcher, and then the game leaves it and its feature out
- Drone: other players' drones are markers only, without a model
- Customization: a mod item's card shows the info sign instead of an empty icon
- Launcher: the agreement's summary wraps, and reads "skate" without the period
- Launcher: the privacy policy and terms of service, and an "I agree" before playing
- Custom maps: the mesh pool follows the map's own meshes, coarser LODs when it is short, and old maps' textures stream
- Mesh streaming: a custom map's pool is measured again once the map it leaves has gone
