24 original grip pattern designs for skate., drawn as line art in the same style as the game's own grip patterns.

What this is

This is a source art pack for modders. It is not a drop-in mod: installing it through the launcher will not add new grips to the game by itself. Import the textures in ReSkate Studio and use Build & Deploy to make them into a working grip.

Folders

  • masks/ - white design on black, 512x2048. Use these as the grip pattern texture.
  • preview/ - each design shown in tan on a black deck.
  • scripts/ - the Python scripts that generate the designs, so you can change line width, spacing or colours.

Using them in ReSkate Studio

  1. Open a stock grip pattern in Studio and check its texture size and format.
  2. Resize the mask to match if needed (and swap to the preview version if the game uses a coloured texture).
  3. Import it, then Build & Deploy and check it in game.

Original designs, free to use in your own skate. mods. Fan-made, not affiliated with ReSkate, Electronic Arts or Full Circle.

Install Grip Pattern Pack

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Grip Pattern Pack and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
