Quick port of the map from the promotional Shockwave game for Red Bull Crashed Ice created by "Bidjan Reclame & Computerservice"(?). The game is a mess and not fun, and the map (mostly in its graphics) kinda reflects that. Scale issues have been preserved. The truck model being corrupted is invisible in the game anyway but I'm pretty sure something unrelated in the process went terribly wrong there. Ported just by using Director Cast Ripper, whatever the w3d to obj converter is called, and then Reskate Studio in Blender. Should have taken like 30 mins tops, but I haven't used Blender since I was a child, so it took bloody ages. Thank you to everyone who's ported maps to Reskate!!! Most 3D games from this era are usually pretty easy to rip models from and port, and I highly recommend you do it, cause it's really fun and I wanna play them. Emergent skating... Pls hit me up on the Reskate discord @wontec if you know how to add a loading screen icon the pink checkerboard pisses me off so bad.
Install Red Bull Crashed Ice Shockwave
You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.
- Open
ReSkateLauncher.exeand go to MODS. - Search for Red Bull Crashed Ice Shockwave and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
- Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.
Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.
Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
