Ride Cloud's Buster Sword from Kingdom Hearts (PS2) as your skateboard. The sword is 1:1 with Cloud's size in KH1 (about 1.77 m), so it's much longer than a normal deck. It can clip through the ground in manuals and flip tricks, and that's expected.

How to use

  1. Install this mod. It needs Kingdom Hearts Boards by Krismaws, which a mod manager installs for you.
  2. Launch skate. through ReSkate.
  3. Open Board → Trucks and equip Buster Sword.
  4. To get a normal board back, equip Krismaws' Normal Board truck.

Requirements

  • skate. (Steam), build 25414733
  • ReSkate / ReSkate Launcher
  • Kingdom Hearts Boards by Krismaws. It hides the stock deck and wheels so only the sword shows.

Install

Thunderstore / mod manager

Install Buster Sword Board with your Thunderstore-compatible mod manager, then launch the game through ReSkate.

Manual

  1. Close the game.
  2. Install Kingdom Hearts Boards first.
  3. Extract this archive to skate./Mods/Buster_Sword_Board/ so layout.toc and Win32 sit directly in that folder.
  4. Start the game with ReSkateLauncher.exe.

Notes

  • Native ReSkate mod (no BepInEx).
  • Built as a truck cosmetic, so the sword is drawn as one solid piece on the deck. The board's physics stay the same as a normal board.
  • Conflicts with other deck-shape mods (Cruiser Deck Shape, WideDeck), because Kingdom Hearts Boards replaces the same stock deck mesh.
  • Mods are tied to the supported game build. If skate. updates, this mod may need a rebuild.
  • If it doesn't show up, check skate./logs/ReSkate.log for the reason it was left out.

Install Buster Sword Board

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Buster Sword Board and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

It needs

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
