The Deck V2 — Test Build 0.2.1

The Deck from Riders Republic, reconstructed for ReSkate.

This update includes the reviewed visual materials, the start point on the paved path a few metres before the central roundabout, and the targeted X Games collision repairs. The 17 affected objects passed static collision sampling. Actual gameplay verification is still required. Peripheral terrain and parts of the original shaders are reconstructed.

Installation

  1. Close skate. and back up your previous TheDeck mod folder.
  2. Replace the previous TheDeck installation with this package; do not leave two versions active.
  3. For manual installation, extract the ZIP contents to Mods/TheDeck, beside Skate.exe.
  4. Verify that Mods/TheDeck/reskate-levels.json exists.
  5. Start the game with a compatible ReSkate installation, enable TheDeck if needed, and select TheDeck in the custom level destinations.

The package targets the supported Steam game build 25414733 used by this ReSkate Studio installation. Use a compatible ReSkate runtime and game build. It does not include the game or ReSkate runtime.

Testing

Check the start point, ground joins, building walls and roofs, X Games funboxes/ramps, bowls, rails and ledges, respawn, day/night lighting, and performance. Record any issue with a screenshot and location. Static checks are not a guarantee of gameplay behavior.

Credits

Original Riders Republic assets belong to their respective rights holders. Unofficial conversion; not endorsed by Ubisoft or EA. The package icon is a typographic edit of the Blender overview, made with the built-in image tool.

Archive compatibility update (0.2.2)

This release uses a standard ZIP archive without ZIP64 headers. Map data is unchanged from 0.2.1. Use the launcher Install ZIP option; gameplay testing is still pending.

Install TheDeck

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for TheDeck and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
