A ReSkate plugin that keeps your skate spots in an animated notebook. Save the spot you're standing on, see your spots as pins in the world, and teleport back to them, even on another map. Send a spot to a friend in your lobby.
Install
- In the ReSkate launcher, GET MODS, find SpotBook and install it (or
copy the mod's folder into your ReSkate
Modsfolder yourself). - Start skating. The first time it loads, ReSkate asks you to approve its
permissions (
console,input,menu,overlay,ui.screen,storage,skater.read,skater.teleport,travel,camera,session.read,session.nametags,hud,audio,net.session). Approve them. - Press F3.
plugin list in the console shows it running.
The book (F3)
The book opens over the game: a leather notebook with the cover swinging open. Other players' nametags and the HUD hide while it's up.
- Left page: your spots, written like a contents page with the distance to each. The tabs on top switch between HERE (this map, nearest first), FAVOURITES and ALL MAPS. The sticky note saves a new spot where you're standing.
- Right page: the picked spot. Its tag, a little treasure map with you as an arrow and the spot as a red X, how far it is, the map, how often you've been there, and who sent it to you.

In the world
Pins stand at the spots near you with their name and distance, and a compass strip at the top of the screen points the way to them. A spot you save drops its pin in with a bounce.
Keys
Only opening the book has a key out of the box: F3, or Back + Down on a pad. Save the spot you're on and go back to where you were before your last jump have no key until you give them one on ReSkate's Binds page ("spotbook.save", "spotbook.back"). Both also work from the book and from PLUGINS > Spot Book.
Settings
PLUGINS > Spot Book has buttons to open the book, save a spot and go back, plus:
- Pins at your spots, their names and distances, and how far away they show
- The compass strip
- Book size, for the book and the on-screen text
- Landing on your board when you teleport
- Sounds and their volume
Sharing
S on a spot sends it to one player in your lobby, or to everyone. They need Spot Book too. It lands in their book with your name on it, on the right map.

Install SpotBook
You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.
- Open
ReSkateLauncher.exeand go to MODS. - Search for SpotBook and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
- Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.
Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.
Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
