Your skater reacts to the session and everyone sees it: hyping big airs, wincing or taunting at slams, flinching when someone blasts past. Players without it see the reactions too.

Your skater reacts to everyone around you, and every player sees it, even players who don't have Hype Crew.

What it does

  • Big airs and spins nearby: you nod at the small ones, throw up a fist, a peace sign or a salute for the good ones, and break into a hype dance for the huge ones.
  • Slams nearby: a head shake or a sarcastic nod, and a cry-baby taunt for the really bad ones.
  • Someone blasts past or into you: you flinch, or get knocked back.
  • Riding? Your arm does it instead: a fist pump, a point, a facepalm, or a shield up.

Players who also run Hype Crew tell each other exactly what they landed, so their reactions are spot on. Everyone else's airs and slams are worked out from how they move.

Controls

  • Ctrl+Y or Start + D-pad Left: the Hype Crew menu (CREW / TRY IT / TUNE).
  • Ctrl+Shift+Y or Start + D-pad Right: turns reactions on or off.
  • The settings are also under PLUGINS > Hype Crew in the ReSkate menu.

It never takes over the full body pose, so it runs fine alongside other pose plugins.

Made for the Stoops 24/7 server.

Install Hype Crew

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Hype Crew and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
