A black cat full-body costume for ReSkate, with colorful eyes, whiskers, paws, and a tail.

Features

  • Select TestCat / Own_TestCat in Full Body Costumes.
  • Original black cat color texture with donor clothing graphics removed.
  • Native game armature with the corrected shoulder, arm, elbow, and leg weights.
  • Hides the underlying human head, body, hair, hands, shoes, and clothing while equipped.
  • Contains the final working Own_TestCat build, with all texture data included in the native patch.

Install and equip

  1. Install this package through the ReSkate launcher's Thunderstore browser, or drag this ZIP onto the launcher's Mod Manager.
  2. Enable Black Cat and fully restart ReSkate.
  3. Open skater customization, go to Apparel → Full Body Costumes, and select TestCat / Own_TestCat.

If you already have the original local Own_TestCat mod installed, disable that copy before enabling this packaged version. Use only one copy of this costume at a time.

For manual installation, create Mods/Black_Cat/ beside Skate.exe and extract the ZIP contents there. Preserve the Win32/ folder structure.

Compatibility and texture behavior

  • Prepared for Windows skate. build 25414733.
  • This is the same compiled payload previously confirmed working during skating and tricks with intact limbs, the cat texture, and no duplicate human parts. Packaging does not rebuild or change it.
  • This build overrides the shared Sumo color, normal, and surface textures. Other Sumo costumes can also use these replacement textures while the mod is enabled. Disable this mod and restart the game to restore the original textures.
  • Other mods that edit the same Sumo assets can conflict; disable those if the cat displays another costume's texture.
  • Multiplayer and different game builds have not been separately verified for this package.
  • No additional Thunderstore package dependencies.

Uninstall

Unequip the costume, disable Black Cat, and restart ReSkate.

Install Black Cat

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Black Cat and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
