Experimental preview · Version 1.1.0 · By Tearrist

Acid-washed black denim with a long, wide silhouette, faded seams and aged silver hardware. Adds one selectable pair of pants with its own in-game thumbnails.

Design

  • Black and ash acid wash with localized fading and worn double stitching.
  • Wide legs, folded lower hems and a layered asymmetric thigh panel.
  • Dimensional zipper teeth and pull, rear pockets and belt loops.
  • Silver buckle, plates, studs, eyelets, clasps, two linked chains and a dagger charm.
  • Original Tearrist thigh artwork and rear pocket label.

Requirements

Use your own Steam copy of skate. and the official ReSkate launcher with supported game build 25414733. No other Thunderstore mod packages are required.

ReSkate 2.0.8 uses a separate game folder outside Steam's installation. Follow the official setup instructions.

Install and equip

  1. Close skate.
  2. Open the ReSkate launcher and its Mod Manager. Install this package from Thunderstore, or use Install .zip with the downloaded archive.
  3. Enable Tearrist Hardware Pants, launch through ReSkate and equip the item under clothing / bottoms.

Coming from a manual test version? Disable that older pants copy before enabling the Thunderstore installation. The manager may give the two copies different folder names. Keep only one copy enabled; other Tearrist items can remain enabled.

For multiplayer, both players should use the same package version and restart the game after updating.

Current testing and limitations

The creator has checked the revised pants locally in-game and confirmed that they look good. Native asset, material, thumbnail, compilation and archive checks also passed.

  • Chains can intersect the cloth or deform during extreme poses, including deep crouches and high leg lifts. Moderate poses passed the offline checks, which do not cover every game animation.
  • Chains follow the character rig; independent swinging and collision physics are not included.
  • Multiplayer appearance and movement have not yet been verified for this revision.
  • Long tops can cover the belt; hem appearance depends on footwear and avatar proportions.

This is an experimental preview with those limits documented. The package icon and menu thumbnails are renders of the actual revised garment, not gameplay screenshots.

Install Tearrist Hardware Pants

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Tearrist Hardware Pants and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.

skatemods doesn't host or review this mod. The download comes straight from Thunderstore. Only install mods you trust, because scripts can run code.
