RGB Pack — ReSkate

A fan-made pack of animated shirts for skate., made for use with ReSkate. The designs are drawn live by ReSkate Studio shaders, so they move while you play.

Included

Shirts

  • RGB Tee — the whole shirt cycles through the rainbow in real time
  • Skeleton Skater — a white skeleton waving on a rocking skateboard
  • Dancing Skeleton — a glowing green skeleton doing a looping dance

Edit the list above to match the cosmetics you actually export before you publish.

Requirements

  • skate. (Steam)
  • ReSkate, with a build that supports mods and shader cosmetics
  • ReSkate Studio is only needed if you want to edit or rebuild the pack

Install

Recommended: ReSkate Launcher

  1. Open the ReSkate Launcher and go to MODS.
  2. Install this pack from Thunderstore, or download the ZIP and drag it onto the MODS page.
  3. Launch skate. through ReSkate.
  4. Press Insert to open the ReSkate menu, go to MODS, and enable the pack if it isn't already.

Manual

  1. Close the game and the launcher.
  2. Extract the ZIP into its own folder inside the game's Mods directory, next to Skate.exe (for example Mods/RGB_Pack/).
  3. Make sure manifest.json and the other mod files are directly inside that folder, not in an extra nested folder. Keep hidden files.
  4. Start the game through ReSkate and enable the mod from Insert → MODS.

Equip

Open character customisation and look in the tops/shirts section for the RGB Pack shirts.

Notes on the animation

  • The animation is generated by a shader that runs on the shirt, so it can look different from the preview in ReSkate Studio.
  • If a shirt looks still or shows a single color in game, make sure ReSkate is up to date. Animated shader cosmetics depend on the ReSkate version.
  • Dark shirts show the skeleton designs best.

Troubleshooting

  • Mod won't load: check for a ReSkate or game-build compatibility warning, and confirm the files aren't nested inside an extra folder.
  • Pack missing in the menu: make sure it's enabled under Insert → MODS.
  • Shirt looks wrong or flat: disable other clothing mods to check for a conflict.
  • Keep only one version of this pack installed and enabled.

Install RGB Pack

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for RGB Pack and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
