Soichi Terada's Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks as a dedicated ReSkate music playlist: 43 tracks, approximately 74 minutes 50 seconds, with the original album artwork.

Features

  • All 43 tracks in the original album order.
  • Album artwork for the playlist and every song.
  • Stereo 48 kHz Opus at 320 kbps, preserving the album's relative track levels.
  • Adds music alongside the game's soundtrack and other music packs.

Install and play

  1. Close ReSkate and its launcher.
  2. Install the package through the launcher's Mod Manager and enable Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks.
  3. Launch the game, open its music player, and choose Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks under Mods.
  4. Select Play, or choose an individual track. Keep Shuffle playlists off for album order.

If you installed the earlier local copy named Local-ApeEscapeOriginape, disable or remove that copy before enabling this package. Keep one copy of the album pack enabled.

Compatibility and release status

Requires ReSkate with native music-mod playlist support. Artwork requires mod-cover support. Built for Skate.exe SHA256 fbce74d5e28ef525dbba2cb4adbebc13405bdbd88f31bc940bca45e4ae88b8f9; rebuild for a different game executable.

The package's 43-track order and artwork were validated, and ReSkate loaded it successfully alongside other music packs. End-to-end audible playback has not yet been verified.

Install Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks

You need ReSkate and your own copy of skate. on Steam.

  1. Open ReSkateLauncher.exe and go to MODS.
  2. Search for Ape Escape Originape Soundtracks and click install. The launcher also installs anything it depends on.
  3. Press PLAY. In game, the MODS tab of the ReSkate menu (Insert) turns it on and off.

Or install it by hand: download the .zip and drop it on the launcher window, or unzip it into its own folder in Mods\ beside Skate.exe.

Maps show up in the ReSkate menu's level list. To join a server running a custom map, you need the same map installed. If the game won't load after installing, see known issues.
