murrkus's Des Moines Skatepark from Skater XL, a recreation of Lauridsen Skatepark in Des Moines, Iowa, as a skate map for skate. with ReSkate.

What's in it

• The whole park and its surroundings as murrkus built them: bowls, snake run, ledges, rails, stair sets, the red Wow sculpture, the entrance arch, the river walk and the shops along the street.
• murrkus's own collision, taken from the map's Unity colliders, not from the visible meshes.
• Grind edges from murrkus's Skater XL grind setup, as grind curves where the collision has no sharp edge of its own.
• The original textures, colours, normal maps and see-through foliage, capped at 1024 pixels.

Notes

• skate. lights the map with its own sun. murrkus's baked lighting (lightmaps) doesn't carry over, so shaded areas look darker and flatter than in Skater XL.
• The river is a flat blue with ripples. The original water shader has no equivalent here.
• Invisible walls keep you inside the playable area.

The original map was made by murrkus for Skater XL: Des Moines Skatepark (Lauridsen Skatepark) on mod.io. Map, models and textures are all murrkus's work, and all credit for the park goes to them.
